DETAILED VIDEO ON USING WINDOW BREAKERS
Easiest Way to Break Car Windows.. (This Can Save Your Life)

First, if you can get your seatbelt off, take it off. This will make it easier for you to escape. In this video, we’re going to show you how to use a seatbelt cutter to cut your seatbelt if it’s stuck. The key is to hold the seatbelt tight and then cut it. We’ll demonstrate this underwater shortly.

If you have kids with you, turn around and grab them right away. If the water has not yet come up over the windows, you’ll want to pop the window out and get out while the car is still floating. But we want to show you a true representation of how much time you have in the car before it completely fills with water.

As the car fills up with water, it’s important to stay calm. You’ll start to feel the cold water coming in, and you may start to panic, but it’s important to remain focused. You still have time to get out.

At this point, the water is up over the window and the car is fully submerged. You can see that there’s still air in the back of the car. This is where a lot of people end up when they go into the water in a car because the engine compartment is heavier and the front of the car fills with water first.

Using a window breaker is the best way to escape from a car that’s underwater. We’ll demonstrate how to use it while underwater. We recommend having two or three window breakers in your car so that you always have one within reach. We like to keep them on the visors and on our keys.

The most important thing is to remain calm and focused. Don’t try to use your cell phone to call for help. Focus on getting yourself and your passengers out of the car. If you remain calm and use the tools at your disposal, you can escape from a car that’s underwater.

We recommend that everyone have a window breaker in their car. It’s the one tool that you cannot live without. If you’re a new driver or you have loved ones who drive, get them a window breaker. It could save their life.

I really wish an experiment like this would be done with a larger vehicle…Like a full sized SUV.

Ghost Ryder

As a volunteer fire fighter I personally have pulled a few bodies from submerged cars. 1 I've pulled out actually had a seatbelt cutter but didn't use it properly. They did exactly what u initially done and only cut the shoulder restraint and never cut the lap belt and most likely panicked and drowned.

Lindavlogs101

Oh my I could never do that!! Dear Lord that’s a terrible way to leave this world. Be careful!!

siren synapse

I hadn't thought of it before, but of course, most cars these days have electric windows and are death traps if you can't open a door. Yikes.

You will probably have to go to the back seat to escape in the newer vehicles because they are made with tempered glass. The front windows are laminated which cannot be broken (or virtually impossible to break). I have a Ford explorer and that’s what my windows say. Double check the windows of your vehicle, it tells you in the corner what type of glass it is. If you’re in this situation most people will probably panic, I know I would so knowing in advance that I have to immediately go to the back seat will save precious time. I also heard that breaking the glass is easier if it’s done more toward the corner of the window as opposed to the center, especially with tempered glass. At least that’s what I heard. I’m unsure if that’s still the case using this tool. Please do research on breaking these different types of glass.Thank you so much Jared for this video! You put yourself at risk to help teach others how to save themselves and other passengers.

I've heard the news and I hope this channel will overcome it. You are doing a saint's work with your search and rescue missions. You are gviving families closure which is so important.

I love that you care about how your mom might feel about this. Moms are everything

ShyR0n3y

One of these would be super handy thats fore sure. Shipping to Australia makes it a little pricey though lol

Old school diary

This is a good informative video that everybody needs to see

Lauren Hearne

Very informative. I just purchased 5 of your window breakers and I’m putting one in every car and my parents as well.

Amme Blanco Lopez

Wow so good to see Jared's mom. ☺️

Peter Campo

Jared, thanks for the demonstration, I wish you had chosen a car with power windows to do this. With manual windows there is no reason to break any glass. If the windshield wiper motor was working with the engine compartment fully submerged, it is my assumption that the power windows will likely be functional for quite some time while the car is still floating, therefore again no need to break any glass unless perhaps the driver waits until the vehicle is completely submerged

Good video

maria nava

It was torture waiting for you car to fill whit water to see how you saved your self thanks so much ❤

William Bircher

Damn the window breaker doubled in price

teamsteed1

Thank you for posting the video.

silvia

I though the head rest can also be used to break the window s well as the seat belt harness

Laura Whatever

The shipping is too much so I have never bought one. Even if you buy two or five, same price.

Laura Bussard

Great video Jared. Makes it easier to see through a real scenario how it all works. Thank you!

Natosha White

How many window breakers did y’all
Sale
If I had the money I’d buy one

According to my 05 Honda CRV book, the head rest is made for breaking windows. For those with mental illness would be confused, it won't be easy, these men are devoted to helping families.

Life saving info… Thx for sharing

Mary Cammack

Not to be a Negative Nancy, but doesn’t this window breaker tool also work for car thieves looking to break into your car?

406Roam

NOTE: check your glass label on the front windows of your vehicle. Many since 2015 are made with laminated glass and you won’t be able to escape this way!!! Move back to the passenger tempered windows. Have a plan and know which windows you have.

Peg Schwalbach

Thank you Jared! Good to know.

Charli Reed

My Tool Rusted in a year – Because I haven't Had to use it. (LUCKY) But not looking forward to buying to more. By all means… It's a game changer. Get one or two… Who knows! You may need it for other reasons too. I work in place were retired people still drive. They have issues where they can't remember and lock themselves in the car. Florida heat is brutal! It comes in handy besides a hammer. (It's Professional) – Blades will rust… (REPLACE THEM)

AndreasD

Will the car still working after it goes down to the water

Ebony ApplePy

Your mom looks young. How old was she when she had you?

Bob H

Some good information that could be included.
How to tell if your glass is laminated? Post a list of markings that tell you what kind of glass it is. It doesn’t always say “laminated”. After buying your breakers, I find out mine are laminated. BUT the moon roof glass is tempered. So now I know yo forget about the four window and go straight to the moon roof. Would still have a problem if the vehicle is upside down.

Gerry Carmichael

DC electric motors WILL work under water. Just roll the windows down.

Jussie Carmon

Every boater needs one too. So many boat ramp stories. 😬

John B

Last year I had ordered a bunch of these and gave them to loved ones, hope we never need them. Newer vehicles have a different type of glass than the older tempered glass and if you're vehicle is newer these may not work.

KarlGT

These should be provided free with any new car purchase
