In this video I went hot tent camping in a snowstorm. I have not been hot tent camping in a snowstorm since last fall and it was awesome! It all started with a mix of rain and snow with some wind. By the time my hot tent was set up it was snowing heavily and the wind started blowing 20-30 mph (9-13 m/s). The temperature was only 31°F (-0.5°C) but dropped to 24°F (-4.5°C) overnight. I cooked chili for dinner with a hot cup of apple cider to warm me up. I also tried out my new Pomoly Hussar Plus hot tent along with my Pomoly Lumberjack wood stove. It was a very successful trip and I had a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy the great winter weather like I did!

All not necessary a real pro does comfort. I start my stove 8 hrs before I arrive, have reception installed at camp site. Tent on platform. Storm tarp over. Pellet stove self-feeding (5) days. Floor in tent 14 miles from nearest road. 3 weeks elevated food storage in case of 50. below temps. Too cold to walk out for me or border collie I’m 76 yrs disabled. As an old man I prepar in summer/fall for not only survival but At my age I want comfort. Security also. 50 cal hand gun. 12 gage mag semi. Can’t run must stand ground. 1/3rd of Griz. Do not hibernate and they are double hungery.
