I have a 2007 Camry sport with 200k miles and I make more then this guy but I could never imagine spending 30k on another sedan… I think the situation is different if you are coming up on your third kiddo and need a minivan
Your complaining about owning a 2006? I'm still driving a 1993
Keep the old Corolla man.
Those cars run to 300k EASILY. Get a freaking paint job change and bam it looks new.
I love having an older reliable car with no payments. For me that's what feels the best, especially now as it's a hybrid with 46 mpg!
Drive what you have.
That car has at least 10 years left in it if not double that or more. Don't sell. Live with it. Invest what you would have spent.
the new corolla is legit but i'm tall so the Camry is really what i'd be wanting
If the caller is following Dave's teachings since high school then he should already know the answer.
Shameless plug. Earl Stewart Toyota.
Max budget 25k if you find a good one under 25 than great

anyway / not a lot going on / sweet / yeah / watch your friends / /
I was in a similar situation. It hurt to write the check. I stared at the ceiling for about a week wondering what I had done – lol. Two years later I still like the new (not any more) car but sometimes I wish I would have just kept the old one a while longer to increase the savings etc. Your tag fees and insurance will definitely go up.
This whole episode is just a Honda and Toyota fam club. I love my 1999 Tacoma. Rock on guys
Thank God this dude is not getting a KIA/Hyundai those are JUNK!!
Dave Ramsey Car Channel is back 👍💵
I’m feeling really good about driving my O6 Tacoma and saving and investing money at 26 years old 😅
$30K for a Toyota Corolla?
Just keep the car, the way house prices are going and interest rates he will want as much liquid cash as possible for a down payment
Why buy a new car while there is nothing wrong with the one you have. I cannot bring myself to spend half of my annual income on a car. Maybe 20%. 😃😃😃😃
He drives less than 10k miles a year. He’s all good
This guys is not your normal 20s or 30s year old. Driving a 2006 and still wants to buy another Corolla and but Dodge Charger, hellcat or bmw or Audi Benz. He is not from this society
First car 1984 Honda accord with 100K miles and sold it at 225K miles, paid cash $5000 and sold for $2000.
Second car 1988 Honda accord with 100K miles and sold at 200K miles, paid cash $5000 and sold for $1500.
Third car, 1999 Toyota pickup with 95K miles and sold at 190K miles, paid cash $5000 and sold for $4000
Fourth car, 1998 Honda CRV with 75K miles and sold at 145K miles, paid cash $10000 and sold for $8000
Fifth car, 2000 Honda CRV with 64K miles and sold at 135K miles, paid cash $11000 and sold for $9000
Sixth car, 2000 Toyota Tundra with 64K miles , still own and has 215K miles. Paid cash $16K and still own
Seventh car, 2016 Honda Fit with 16K miles, still own and has 54K miles. Paid cash $10K Has severe hail damage so $8000 discount, came with an extra set of tires and wheels (snow tires) looks awful but drives great.
The rich stays rich by spending like the poor and investing without stopping then the poor stays poor by spending like the rich yet not investiing like the rich
2006 with 150k miles?? 😮 I have a 2014 Corolla with 125k miles.
Amazing cars!
I can’t understand what the guy said at the beginning right before George and Rachel made those faces. Anyone know what he said?
20 k
On a car max
My 2005 vehicle only has 135k on it…
Just picked up a 2018 for $11k
Ugh 40k saved is nothing and he should save it. A down payment for the house should be at least 40-50k
Keep the same car save your money buy a house!!
“It takes a lot of swallowed pride to drive a 06 Corolla at 27”
Me in my 05 Corolla at 36 👀
I would like to buy his 06 Corolla if u see my comment let me know please
If the caller decides to upgrade to a new or newer car, he might want to then consider opening up a "car account", where he begins making a monthly car payment to so when that car needs to be replaced, he has specifically saved to pay cash for the next car and won't have to to take money out of his savings account. Saving for an expense is a lost art.
man get a truck man !!! 30k on a car nahh man get a truck 35 k tacomaaaaaaa
i love my toyota tacomaaaaaaaaa
The mood is so different when Dave is gone. Like a substitute teacher who just puts in a movie and lets everyone eat in class kinda vibe lol “yeah buy a car, you deserve it” 🥳
As little as possible.
Still driving the 95 Toyota, stupid little thing won’t die lol.
One million dollars !!
why do they say settle down and get a house lol so dumb
These young callers really depress me.
If I made 80k id be looking at 100k cars😄
As long as it runs, it works. This caller seems to have a good head on his shoulders though. Choosing to drive around in an old car for his future. You deserve that new car, man! You do.
He should buy a new phone instead.
There is no longer ANY reason to own a car
He's on the right track!!!
Apparently Rachel has a trash minivan haha
save it for the new FL5
another corolla….. welll, say the word, GR Corolla
Keep the car. When it breaks, fix it.
i would drive that car into the ground….. and just date her living separate ….. no reason to get married when your killing it
dont get married before 35 if ever…. and prenup
