I went to st Ives once. Never again. Overcrowded, nowhere to park. Complete nightmare

The NC500 is having other issues.. Mainly tourist having a dump on the hill and leaving there rubbish behind…there has to be a more toleranceand between the tourist and locals and some sort of solution but be frick all happens..

The crochet blanket is, in fact, a giant granny square. It has a nice colour scheme, unlike a lot of handmade items which tend to be haphazard. Well done to your mother.

The reason st Ives does want people living in vans is because people don't want the place turned into a refugee camp with everyone in the country living on every open space and road without paying their TAX!..

astraboys100

'Stealth camping' with big solar panels on the roof yea the only person who thinks your 'Stealth Camping' is yourself, why don't you get a real camper like everyone else and don't be such a freeloader!…'

I can rent an apartment and that includes gas water electricity and internet broadband for less on the black sea coast for a month !

I've had a thought about why councils in the UK don't have plenty of free overnight parking. Could it be to stop being over whelmed by travellers? I live on the edge of the M25 just inside London (Orpington) where they do occasionally pitch up at fields and parking spots. Many shopping areas with plenty of free parking there is always a bar over the entrance to stop big/tall campers coming in for that very reason.

You've got to be single? I wouldn't leave the missus and kids to go and have a meal, drink and sleep on my own. Now it sounds like a dream, got any videos on how to convert a van 🤣🤣

Who the hell would want to spend a night in Cornwall anyway… Over priced, over crowded, and definitely over rated.
The main bonus of the countless herds flocking to Cornwall is that it leaves more space for us in the rest of the UK, so keep going people.

Zulu Stu

Hell… you guys even have to pay for air at the servo… It definitely puts you off travelling to places where you have to pay for everything

Arturius

Hope you get caught ya clever bas****!

Troy Busuttil

And you think we like you doing it here in Australia fuck no you lot are grubs pissing and shitting in the gutters public toilets etc.
We can't stand it

This is so utterly pathetic. Making a mission over parking a van overnight. And, paying so much to park, and then wondering if you'll be given a ticket. This is a ridiculous situation. Sneak your van into the grounds of Buckingham Palace, and spend the night there, and this sort of video would make more sense.

Malcolm Clements

The best place I'd the Lifeboat or Hain Line. How about condensation giving you away in the van?

Mal Tyrer

First time I’ve watched any of your content…. Really really great! 😊

Michael Perkins

looks nothing special I'll spend my money abroad

Unfortunately for every one responable van camper there are about 20 iresponsable van campers who spoil it for everyone. I live on a tourist rout and fed up with van campers passing through, camping up for the night, not useing any local ameneties, except the toilets, empty their chemical toilets in the toilet, thus blocking them, leaving their rubbish where they have parked and driving off in the morning. 🙁

kipper

12:03 beautiful footage there, captures the mood of the seaside

Onkarkitekt

Lovely location and due to it being off season, it's probably not worth it for them checking every vehicle 😅 Did you try a a Cornish pasty?

Investigative News

Lightweight 😂

Orson in charge

4:25 nah , just means you've got a lovely mum .

Have some magnetic signs made for the sides and make it look like a builders van, lots of workers stay in local hotels when working.

Andrew Williams ‘Wills’

SAMA blanket! Got one too!

Mark Pringle

Bollocks to your UK comment. It's 4 different countries with different laws. you can stay overnight in Scotland no problem

Crazy Vaclav

That’s how you stealth camp in a van, have a van that looks like a van, no windows, no solar panels visible, all the other “stealth” vans look like campers from miles away.
If it was me I’d sign write the van, to make it look less like a camper.

Metal Man

St Ives what a joke , over priced, over populated, overrated don’t bother just go north.

James Jameson

If you're in there with a woman do you both take dumps in the toilet, how long does it take the smell to subside?

Harold Betterson

Great vid subd 👍

Nz don't have gypsy's mate..
Nice 👐 s

Mike

It would be impossible to prosecute a parking ticket for this. How do they prove a person slept? I sit outside Aldi reading a paper for ages. If I slept?! And what a waste of public money if they tried it.

Dash DriverUK

There are two fundamental reasons campers aren’t encouraged in england, it’s a tiny island compared to Australia which has a lot more land and travellers! That’s why car parks don’t allow it. Space and we can’t discriminate against certain types of overnight traveler’s.

Paul's music

Love a quick pint in Sloop my favourite pub in St Ives.

Mike Watts

I would care what people think. Get a sleeping bag and get your head down, nothing 'stealth'about it.

Stuff&Things

I am going to do this over the next few weeks. Though knowing my luck I'll probably end up in a dogging site lol

Married To The KGB

I lived in Devon for around 10+ years and worked in Cornwall sometimes but i never did manage to get to St Ives. I would like to go but it's a shame they try to barge out the motorist or camper and only appear to cater to the middle class types willing to pay OTT prices in some air b&b. It kind of puts me off but glad you pulled off a stealth camp in the van which is what I would do.

Surfing bums and their vans ruined Newquay and other resorts in the 1960's onwards. What rights do they think they have to live in prime areas on the cheap? Real Cornish don't sympathise. Yes, the bloody rich English own the resorts now but WHAT RATES AND TAXES DO SURFER BUMS PAY?

Enjoyed 👍
