Great stuff! I'll have to piece it together with hopes of getting enough vacay to get out of Satan's armpit to go camping. Car camping we Walmart a lot of it but, the light stuff is kinda necessary for on the bike and if going somewhere cold you need to be prepared. Besides you have to have space for libations…

TSMoto Adventures

Definitely recommend the kelty late start tent! I've used it a few times and it's super easy to setup, compact, and holds up really well in wind and stormy weather (ask me how I know).

Big Rock Moto

You camp a lot so I really value your product advice… thanks.

MOEMUGGY

I'm still rockin' the military sleep system MSS gortex bivy and the Lightfighter 1 tent. Kinda heavy and bulky for a thru-hike, but affordable and bullet proof.

Kevin Oldham

Where is that kingfisher 10 place in your video?

Russell Born

I picked up the 15-degree Big Agnes on closeout, then got the Ultracore pad for it. So glad I did, super comfortable. Got one of those little pumps too, makes setting up camp much easier. Those slippers though…I just can't. Not that my camp shoes will win any beauty contests

Crane & Rigging

Good deal ! 👍 I get buy with a Leatherman super tool 300 on my Suzuki PE 175 .

Thanks for sharing your top 10. I splurged and got myself a Big Agnes Tiger Wall UL3 after thinking about it for about a year. It was sort of a retirement present to myself. It was difficult justifying to myself spending that much on a tent when I already have more than one very usable tents but the paced size was really a selling point for me. I figured out how many times I needed to use it rather than going to a motel to feel like I got my money's worth out of it. Not that many times and I have already gotten my money's worth out of it. I've always used inexpensive gear to have money to buy motorcycles and travel so it's a huge deal to spend that type of money no matter how good the quality is. I also splurged almost 15 years ago to get a Big Agnes sleeping bag, again it was to get something that would pack up smaller. I've really gotten my money's worth out of it too. My next splurge might be a Big Agnes pad to replace the Thermarest that I have been using since the mid-80s. The nice thing is even though I'm over retirement age I don't have the aches and pains most people my age have and I still love Motocamping.

Excellent Gear. Great vid.

Simon of Oz

All Sea To Summit and Jetboil products are made in Communist China. MSR is a great alternative.

David Ruggles

Great video review Ben. Thank you. It all sounds expensive until you compare it to doing a similar trip and hotelling it at night. 🥺

AusMoto

Thanks for the overview, Dork!
It's going to help me set-up my kit better 😄

Alex Salazar

Hahaha love the closing seconds

Jeff Hower

I'm a big fan of the EXPed Widget inflation pump, lamp, powerbank.

Wendy Gerrish

You have the sleeping pad and bag dialed. Great gear…I don't have this kit but it looks like the best there is, also its important to have a tent or hammock/tarp that you love. Its good to have reliable gear that you can use incase of fatigue, hypothermia, numb fingers etc..

Garrick Solberg

I love my Diamond Park 0 degree bag, but I’m surprised it topped your list for this year. It’s pretty massive for a motorcycle. I use mine for car camping. The Enlightened Equipment quilt seems quite a bit more versatile than the Big Agnes due to its smaller volume and multiple configurations. I think the straps are the only downside for the quilt, however. I’m curious why you chose the BA over the EE. Thanks for the great video!

Zachary Gibbons

Hey Dork, have you ever considered hot tent camping off the bike? Like using a small hot tent and foldable titanium stove for late fall-early spring trips. That would be some cool content to see on this channel. There are lots of backpacking YouTubers doing it but haven’t seen any moto camp guys do it yet.

Skip Halbakken

No, you are not crazy. Great choices. You get what you pay for!.

axamit i dynamit

Definiyely not a light packer, are ya? 😂

DeweyRides

We use very similar setups. I have used both the BA pad and the thermorest. I prefer the TR, but both are good it's all about what is comfy for you. Are you back to the bag instead of the quilt? I upgraded to a BA bike pack tent this year, it's awesome and I love it. But they are very proud of them.

Worth It???

I was inspired by your channel, got a Kawasaki Versys-X300 6 months ago and i am also planning my first adventure soon also inspired by your missions. Greetings from Sout Africa

Tenny80

I have the 25×78 qcore deluxe and it’s a good pad, used it all year including 16 nights straight touring the eastern USA. It’s not the most comfortable pad I have but it’s 1/3 the size of the most comfortable pad I have and that means I can have things like a chair and table which overall makes me more comfortable

Swing Ding

All really nice, very useful gear. I am a huge Olight guy, I must own 20+ of their lights. Great stuff, Thanks Ben.

Life's Journey at 50

I use the Zero bag year round…plus the mattress absolutely fantastic – you have to invest in good gear when on the road…great stuff…nice job!!!

Diego Astorga

One of these days, I will steal my daughters piggy bank and buy some Big Agnes‼️👍

Dennis Kelley

Dude that sleeping bag is so bad ass. I need that

Matt Roden

Hut Moc’s are the real deal! Been rocking them since they were in development and won’t switch to anything else. Great shoe/slippers you can toss on and do almost anything in. They’re a bit pricey, but I think it’s justified. Grab them up while you can as the Hut Moc 2.0 was recently released. 2.0 sole was redesigned to have the classic Moc lugs as they realized people were using them outdoors more than they thought.

Ronny-DRZ

Some really great kit there, thanks for the video.

mike ramsauer

This is so awesome thank you for the reviews

Eric Wutschnik

Lots of information and to the point, thanks.

Explore Adventure Moto

Love your adding bloopers more often 😂

Rick Vander Ley

Great suggestions, thank you!
