Ouachita River Bluffs – River Fishing – Womble Hike – Dispersed Camping Ouachita National Forest

I found a great little dispersed camping spot on the Ouachita River Bluffs, fairly secluded, right next to the river. It’s located approximately 8 miles from the little town of Mt Ida, Arkansas located in the Ouachita National Forest! I loved camping right on the river which gave me the opportunity to do some rod and reel fishing. Since the womble trail was about 1/2 mile down the road from my campsite, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take a quick hike on it. Beautiful area to explore and camp at. Thanks for watching folks!

First and foremost thank you very much for being concerned about the risk of wind and having a fire. Beautiful spot! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Mark the Google My maps links is dead

Eugene / Sylvie

Great to hear from you Mark. Wonderful primitive camp spot and video, as always.

Hi Mark! It's been a while. That's a very nice camp spot. Glad you are enjoying your Starlink. Sad about the mercury in the fish, right? I use a hiking stick, too, and oddly get a lot of compliments on it. Big hello from Alberta. 👍😎🇨🇦

John Higginbotham

Welcome back! I was beginning to think you out in the middle of nowhere and couldn't find your way back. I always enjoy your videos. I'm very familiar with all that area. Been going to the Cossatot River and hiking, camping, and hunting since way before it was a state park. All of that part of the state is just fantastic to explore. Be safe out there.

Hey Mark, that was a pretty sweet spot. Too bad about the Mercury. I wonder if that was an old abandoned farm in the middle of the forest. You've gone Starlink too. Seems to be all the rage with RVers now. There's another truck camper rally this year in Roadrunner Wash. It was great fun last year. Think you might give it another shot this year? Get registered if you plan to because it's limited to 400 I think and filling fast. Take care.

Good to see you are out and about. Cool Honda.

That looks like an awesome campsite. And my wife and I really like to fish so this would be a great place to disperse camp. Thanks for sharing and safe travels to you!

Good to see you back!

Dude inshore fishing

Water was clean looking. Has it been a really dry year? Water was looking kind low

Good evening Mark! I definitely want to go there next time I get to Mansfield. That is awesome. You can drive right up to the bluff. Very cool thanks for always giving us the best spots to look for. I appreciate your videos and all the effort that you put into them

Could not get google maps to open on my laptop.

Mark, thanks for taking us along. Concrete pads were neat feature.

Stephen Willis

I love a good riverside camping spot. 🏕

Wes W

Nice place. Were the ticks and chiggers a problem? Looked fun catching bass on top water.

Skip Watson

We've been subscribed to you for several years but haven't seen you for 6 months or so. So good to see you show up in my feed. We happened to be at Indian Bread Rock at the same time you were, but didn't recognize your truck at the time. We love dispersed camping, too.

The Salty Medic

Pretty convenient they had a concrete pad in the middle of nowhere😂 but obviously something was there long before we were I guess
So you think the river is safe to swim in? I wonder how high the mercury level is?
