Thanks! This video was good info. You are an excellent expert by pure experience. I lived in Arkansas for 10 years and found the state lands and campgrounds to be excellent. That was in the 80s so I don't know about changes since then. The political far right had taken over Arkansas politics since the 80s and that usually doesn't support any public services, so it was good to hear that at least some of the state lands and campgrounds are still protected. I want to go up the east coast and Appalachians this summer but expect to have a harder time with my camper van, There are a lot of Harvest Host places to spend the night if you pay the membership and meet their qualifications, but that isn't camping. The only federal lands in the east are in the Appalachians which also doesn't have a lot of accessible free dry camping sites. So,, well see how going up the east coast works out.

Hi Carolyn. I am wondering if there is a technical glitch. I added a nice comment about Colorado and you marked it with a heart. Now the comment is completely gone. Any idea why? Just wondering. :o)

Shout out to my state Oregon!

Global warming is 2-3 degrees, not 10 or 20. It still affects weather a lot. When the sun is at the minimum we get a lot more weather events.

💚yaya linda👍

Wy and north and south dakota.

Hi Carolyn. What a great list you made. I loved that you listed my favorite state of Arkansas. The natural beauty and the people were my reasons. UP of Michigan was my second. My third is New Mexico. I loved the mountains up in the area of Cimmeron. The beauty and historic places made for wonderful traveling. Please continue your tremendous videos! Hope you and Sadie continue to be safe on the road.

Arizona’s White Mountains is a fairly cool summer go to place…Greer, AZ elevation is 8,500.

Judi Vowell

I'm so happy that your top two choices are my top two favorite states ever. Thank you the great descriptions of each state.

lol

Thank you, Carolyn; I really like your Alaska drone footage in this video; it's amazing! Hugs to you and Sadie.

What is BLM???

Take Two is an improvement over Take One, but is still not up to your usual standards. Oh well, nobody's perfect, and you can always revise it to Take Three in your old age when cleaning up your video legacy. We all need to leave a few projects for the nursing home. Mine was originally going to be solving Fermat's Last Theorem, but then "they" solved it. But it was a huge, brute-force computer solution, which is clearly not how Fermat himself claimed to figure it out. So, if you ever read about a geezer solving it the old-fashioned way with pencil and paper, hopefully it will be me. Though I'll probably be Photoshopping every photo I ever took instead, and getting them into some format my kids won't toss in a dumpster.

I caught the changes. 😂🤣 thought I had a mini stroke but realized what I heard and saw. 👍🏻

My poor lungs would not allow living at 10,000 Even as a kid it was tough as I did not listen about not running around on day 1. Bad headaches. Ouch Your in great shape. I admire you. Wish I needed a waggle. Such a deal. I’m trying to think of a friend that may need it. Hugs

State parks on the Oregon coast are really nice….

My LEAST favorite boondocking state is Texas because they have no public land. My 3 favorite are Utah, Arizona and Colorado.

Kat and Dogs on Wheels

I'm a California girl, based in WA right now, but on my way back this summer, can hardly wait.

I enjoy your travel videos and the information along the way.

My Wander Years

Hey Carolyn! You replied to my comment on the first video. I've changed my name and pic since this morning. (Figured maybe not such a good idea to use my real name and image online). Anyway, my comment was about the summer my daughter and I lived in my 2003 Impala, and that Wyoming was my favorite. You were so kind to respond. I went to thank you, and my paranoid self was afraid I broke your video somehow, LOL! 😂 Anyway, thank you for all the GREAT content! ❤

woohoo 🎉 my state made the list #10 the beautiful 🥰 state of Oregon I live in Eastern Oregon in Baker County in the high desert 🏜 where I live is right by Farewell Bend State Park and the Snake River Recreational Area and there is a lot of boon-docking areas just around the corner and we’re just a short drive from the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest 🌳 I love ❤️ the idea we can just randomly decided to go camping for the weekend or longer and we have everything we could ever want just a few miles from the house 🥰❤️🥰
Carolyn have you ever explored this part of Oregon?😊

Lola Saxby

I sure do enjoy your videos! And I personally like that you don’t always have it “perfect” – it shows you’re really just like the rest of us! Thanks for sharing again 😊

We are so excited to get out there and visit all these states! We were planning to leave last month (was our goal a year ago) then we found out Mo had throat cancer. We find out Wednesday if they got it all!! 🤞 If so, it won’t be long!! Thank you for this list…twice 😆 We’ve followed you from day one and you’ve been a source of encouragement for a long time! Your trip to Alaska set it in stone for us ❤️ thank you!!
