VISION
We have to stop wasting our planet’s resources. CO₂ emissions must be reduced, with immediate effect. We have decided to take matters into our own hands by making clean mobility affordable for all. For you and for generations to come.
THE SION
The Sion is the first series-produced car that can additionally charge its battery using solar power. A car that charges itself – a Solar Electric Vehicle (SEV).
The Sion is equipped with a 54 kWh battery, which corresponds to a total range of up to 305 km. Additional range is also provided by the solar panels, seamlessly integrated into the body of the car. These are able to harness the power of the sun and generate up to 245 km (average 112 km) per week of additional range at peak. Solar charging will be available whilst driving, to enable the most efficient use of daylight hours.

As an electric engineer I know it's just not realistic because an EV needs high voltage ⚡ energy to run efficiently but for toys cars of course is good.
I'm a really big fan of this car but unfortunately they are not offering it in my market yet (Ireland). Perhaps it's due to us driving on the other side of the road. I hope if fully makes it to market as it would suit my driving style perfectly.

I've wathed a couple of videos now. One thing you never explain. What kind of cable do you need to charge another car från the Sion? It'll have to be a special cable. I can't see how it could be done with the regular charging cable.

I assume that bi-directional charging means that I could run my welder or my electric chain saw from the car. (or a kettle while I was on a picnic, to make a cup of coffee). If so, it would be a good point to make in your promotional information. ps. I wonder how many km you would get per day in Australia or a similar sunny country

Meiner Meinung nach ist das Konzept immer noch top und wenn der "Schwarze Sion" erstmal durch die Lande düst, wird sich durch das "will ich auch haben", die Nachfrage rasch steigern lassen. Das Team von Sono, brennt für Ihre Vision und ist sich treu geblieben, ich bin überzeugt das sich dieses Engagement auszahlt❤️💪

Ach ja, 2018 wurde mit einem Verkaufspreis von 16000 Euro angeboten. Jetzt sind es schon 29900 Euro. Wenn der wirklich mal produziert werden sollte, sind es 40000 Euro.
