Regarding pet safety in vehicles. I think having them wear a harness similar to the ones used for walking but a little more substantial material and several metal latch/buckle/etc points. It would really only work in a few vehicles unless you get creative but the idea is to have 4 to 6 points opposite and evenly spaced from each other. Include some sort of spring or elastic mechanism in the cables and a max length control mechanism so ideally if there's an impact the energy is partially absorbed when the animal goes "flying" and instead is stopped by the anchoring cables. You don't wanna give them whiplash but you don't want the cable to just be a spring or elastic band as it could if there's enough force allow the pet to come into contact with the ceiling of the car, or either wall.
Ideally you would want some sort of over the top addon that isn't likely an option unless you do it yourself.
But on each of the anchoring cables you could have a solenoid activated spring loaded self retaining mechanism that would in the event of the car detecting an impact. Release the solenoid from it's position allowing the retaining springs to coil and force the dog into the middle of the anchoring area. It could guarantee they can't impact a wall.
But unless you have considerable space like an SUV or car with the seats capable of going flat, and several anchoring points inside the car (My old Honda Element had the perfect layout for this which is where the idea came from, sadly she's totaled now).
Because the moment I saw that dog seat belt I was like my dog would have a heart attack and at one point had broken ribs and that'd be useless. This wouldn't be ideal with a broken rib, but accidents are never ideal anyway. I miss that dog and I miss that car, he was the best little bud a guy could hope for.

Those smelling things would be great at raves. We always just used the Vicks ones but a tropical scented one would be awesome. You can also put your mouth over the bottom and gently blow air through it and aim it at each other’s faces/eyes lol.
