Very nice!! I have a pile of transformers nothing like you have maybe 6 to 8!! Nice video
I would suggest you hold onto your #2 Phil. Copper will go up another 30-50 cents within three months I believe. Scramble with everyone coming out with EV's should drive up prices.
👍
I think the roller machine will strip the smaller wire b.c. I've watched other guys smashing some small wire but it's an expense to build one so it depends how far you want to go . Those machines also do it at a much faster r.p.m.so it's quick
those wire strippers are a hit and miss,we went with a wire granulator it breaks it all down and separates the materials plastic rubber metal alumium little extra but well worth it.great video as always
Al kinds of copper color.Never seen that before.
I had a few of them and I have had to cut with a grinder and then I peeled it off save the wrist.
Did you see the Shark scapers video yesterday
Some of those transformers are tough to bust apart. Hard work. But $112 for one hour. Pretty good. Thanks for posting.
Hi Phil. Really enjoyed watching this vid.Amazing how fast the copper adds up.Great vid.Keep up the good work.Thx
coppercopper thanks
👍👍👍👍👍
Great video
Nice all add up to x
3 video today alone, you are definitely on a roll phill , Thanks for sharing Be safe ✌️
👍👍👍👍👍👌Nice yield on the copper
I live in a development so I try not to be so loud I grind the weld like you said, it definitely helps with noise and your wrist/shoulder and sometimes I spray wd40 on it to help get I tout
Phil sort that big red press out to push them center bars out save the wrists and elbows, a day messing about with it will save them limbs and make you money and save noise. great vid all the best.
I thought about a third of the total weight is copper. It turned out less than a quarter is. Never saw such hard transformers. May be you should spray some WD40 to loosen them up. Wondering how much was HMS?
Transformers are my favorite thing for scrapping ! I cut the welds to keep the hammering at a minimum, as you said too hard on your wrist. Good news on the copper price, I think the best I did last year was around $4.90 so getting close ! I have about 400 pounds processed so far, hoping to get down in March. The price might be $5.00 by then !
Great copper phil and video
Stripping more Transformers some were easy to do and a few were very hard – but it was worth it as You got just over 25 Pounds of Copper – not to forget the HMS pieces ! Thats nice Money when You sell it – wow ! Another Great Video and many Cheers from us in Australia !!!!
