Looking for hidden beauty in the 3-in-1 Meidum Pyramid.

The Meidum Pyramid is mostly known for its present unsightly appearance. The distinction of being the only pyramid never claimed by a pharaoh adds to the negative reputation. Despite the great toll time has taken upon the monument, it remains filled with wonderful clues to understanding Old Kingdom Egypt.

The pyramid was essentially constructed three times, each creating a new pyramid reflecting a greater desire to project power and perfection. The present odd appearance of the Meidum Pyramid reveals the hidden smaller pyramids within it.

Other secret spaces inside the pyramid weren’t discovered until the 21st century, and their presence is an enormous clue about the priorities and motivations for pyramid design.

Thanks as always to the following researchers who generously share their diagrams and imagery.

Could it be that this pyramid is being build with a system of cranes on each step. Described by the “wise old man” to the Khalid Al Mamuun in the 9th century? (Great Pyramid)

Hisham Mohsen

The shape of the grand galleries always remind me of the shape of fresnel lenses

Always enjoy your videos.

Bee Storm

Your videos are all just top notch. Thank you for taking the time to make these.

Thank you for your videos. I learn something interesting on every one of them.

With the wood timbers/ cedar beams, can they not be dated fairly precisely? They were front the original construction, yes?

captainexcabier

Has any of the wood in these pyramids been carbon dated?

Phillip Dyson

Merry Christmas and thank you for your very informative documentaries in 2022. Must admit I was enjoying some of the conspiracy videos on Egypt found on YouTube which thru your videos are definitely incorrect. Some provide excellent filming of sites I will never visit so I will give them some credit for my interests in these sites. Hopefully I can visit the GEM museum in 2023. Congratulation for being my favourite channel in 2022. Best regards Phil Sydney Australia

I love the slightly slowed deliberate delivery of "In modern times we take it for.. granted" @25:20 considering this channel's name. Pretty subtle and gave me a chuckle.

Planet Neptune

One of the best channels on this subject. Grats on the quality you're achieving

Wormweed

Have the wooden beams ever been carbon dated?

Steve Conway

Has carbon dating of the cedar wood confirmed the Snefru connection?

Aneesh Prasobhan

Excellent analysis 🙂
I had interest in the pyramids for many years but you significantly boosted it with your channel and I'm grateful for that.

Also, what do you think about "Brien Foerster" ? He claims there was a huge cataclysm that destroyed an ancient civilization which had "High Technology". Amd he says proof is visible in Egypt. Example ( i might be off on the details here) : the spynx was in the ancient times, some other structure and then after thousands of years was modified to head shape that is seen today.

Do you think there is truth to this stuff ? Or is Mr. Foerster just trying to sell his books and tour seats ?

Another wonderful application of Occam’s Razor which one might think of being- keep it simple. I’m an Archaeologist and your shows are amazing!!!😁

Todd Baker

Thank you for your unbiased intellectual coverage of stuff made out of stone. I look forward to your new videos next year. Happy Holidays!

Awesome!! Always TOP QUALITY CONTENT! Every video is worth the wait.

Before I forget what I want to say, there will be edits when I finally make it to the end of the video.
Does the original / interior pyramid not look a lot like the same angles the Ethiopians had used? And if the pyramids were meant to be explored and viewed, the 3 foot height would probably be the pharaoh's choice, as everybody comes to you bowing or on their knees.

Charles Mouse

Excellent as always. Thank you again.

Count De Monet

I always contended that the pyramids were open for some time after the death of the Pharoh to allow his cult to keep worshiping him.

Trust the way 🙏🏼

You really work hard man, so difficult to put this together. Very well made and researched. Thank you👍🏻

Great video. I consider Meidum a gem hidden in plain sight. It's my favorite pyramid and I loved visiting it.

David Jordan

I see a lot of highly detailed and precise diagrams with Italian annotations in so many videos about pyramids. Where do these come from? The only major Italian explorer I can think of is Caviglia, but he seems too early for them.

Epox Eclipse

Pre flood. As all the pyramids are preflood.

I been waiting for a new upload. I checked yesterday must of se sed something was comming Salute for your works HFG🙏👍☺Happy Holidays

Sand is okay as a foundation as long as you live in an area that never gets earthquakes, but not in Egypt. Sands "liquifies" when subjected to rapid shaking, making heavy objects on top of them sink. This liquification is easily seen when Egyptologists sift sand to find objects buried within. Without the sifting, nothing happens.
This is why I agree with Kurt Mendelssohn's idea that the Meidum pyramid might have suffered sudden catastrophic collapse. I like his idea of excavating the mounds of debris down to the base of the pyramid to see what might have been buried in the collapse. It might settle this question of what happened and maybe find some interesting objects in the debris.

Fascinating hypothesis and research. Leaves a lot of wonder of what the giza pyramids construction might be. Could they also be 3 tier stepped in the same way.

TreeMunky

Thanks for all the content. I have both enjoyed and learnt from it. Happy holidays 👍

Was it a storm … or the CURSE?
Great video man

You're a legend and your work speaks for itself. There's so many good channels that cover the topics yet yours feels fresh and informative to the point I check back weekly incase YT does me dirty with the sub feed.

Haven't watched this yet, grabbing a drink and going to watch it on a huge screen in VR.

Merry Christmas, thanks for your efforts 👍👍

though granite in the name, this channel is a diamond amidst others. it teaches me that the pyramids are wondrous and magnificent beyond any imagination and that i knew closely to nothing about them despite my lifelong fascination.

What a Christmas present. Thank you.

Yesss! A new one 🤩

Inside Ruins

Love your channel! Inspired me to start mine.

Ashley King

This channel is amazing. I love ancient Egypt stuff but I have never seen any other videos that go so in depth into the construction and architecture of the pyramids and the way that looters dug their way in. So many unique topics. Keep up the great work mate. From Australia 🇦🇺

Pharaoh – People will look upon my pyramid in thousands of years from now and know my glory !

Locals — Lets bash out the sides and use it as a birdshit catcher.

Secto Kia

Does anyone know if any of the wood inside has had samples taken for carbon dating?

MrAchile13

The quality of the information presented in these videos is astonishing, which makes me wonder, what is your background? How did you got introduced to this subject? Was it university or was it different?
