lol the chinese thought the world was flat until relatively recently and 2000 years after western hemisphere had worked out the size of the earth and the moon and aint no antikythera mechanism from ancient china, nor 100,000km concrete roading systems with 100s of massive masonry bridges/aqueducts etc than still stand today. In fact there's hardly any significant complexly engineered ruins from antiquity in china – can anyone show me a 2000 year chinese stone bridge like pont du gard or asignificant 2000 year bridge of any sort even the submerged foundations like trajan's bridge?

i've been here over 20yrs the intolerance superiority over foreigners especially american and japanese has always been there it was hidden or masked well until recent yrs there was one time b4 covid bs i was taken in by the police cuz i was accused of causing "an issue" at a bar the issue was someone stole my cellphone i called the fn police i wasn't arrested i was just detained in some kind of common area or maybe "drunk tank" some other dudes of course chinese were taken in too and one guy was actin like he was better than me i said hay pal were both in the same fn place he kept goin on with others with his jabs at me assumin i didn't understand so i went and smashed his nose with my forehead of course the police intervened what amazed me is they beat the crap out of him and left me alone anyhow mornin came and i was "interviewed" but actually accused of several things supposedly by the bar owner of the bar but i or no one in china has the right to confront their accuser of course i wasn't charged with or convicted of anything they said get the f out and don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out

This sounds like the Russian take on history where all of modern history is a lie and actually all the great civilizations of history were Russians and everyone else just stole their history and covered it up. That Russia comes from Atlantis and Mu and underground civilizations and used nukes against napoleon but ancient europe somehow bested this ultra advanced society with swords and arrows and overwrote 300 years to replace them. And somehow theres a global flood of mud.
Theres genuinely a massive amount of people who hear this online and just agree because its contrarian to what were taught in school "so it must be right". I never hear about the chinese equivalent though.

The facts don’t support Chinese supremacy. China has four times as many people as the US yet 45 times fewer Nobel prizes. Compare what China gave the world in the last 500 years to what the US gave the world in just the last 150 years. The US gave the world the polio vaccine, lightbulb, telephone, camera, recorded sound, powered flight, factory assembly manufacture, the television, transistor, semiconductor/computer chip, personal computer, the internet, satellite navigation, DNA sequencing, hepatitis C vaccine, an effective covid vaccine… the list goes on and on. Nor are US gifts limited to technology. The US also gave the world lifetimes of entertainment through movies, TV, new types of sports (baseball, basketball, football), new musical instruments (electric guitar, synthesizer), and new forms of music (rock n’ roll, pop music, hiphop, blues, jazz, country music). The US also gave the world political innovations: its constitution, the idea for the League of Nations, the idea for the United Nations (incl. China’s seat on the UN security council), the Marshall Plan, the idea for and the stewarding of the international system of global free trade. The US dug the Panama Canal and let the whole world use it. The list goes on and on. As for what China gave the world in the last 500 years, I’m aware of nothing of any importance whatsoever. China did invent gunpowder and paper but that was 1,100 and 2,000 years ago respectively. I do not believe that the Chinese are inherently bad at innovation. Instead, I believe that there is something about Chinese culture that discourages innovation. Apparently, the CCP brings out the very worst in Chinese culture because what it gives the world now is endless lies, belligerence, thievery, and treachery especially towards those countries that have helped China the most.

Wow, really we apparently faked it in order to denigrate Chinese civilization? Surely we are not even close to being that clever. IMO, we did the opposite we did all we could to denigrate the achievements of all ancient civilizations in order to make our own look better, especially as virtually no one gave a crap about what the Chinese were doing at the time or had done in the past.
We actually know so little about our past that this should concern us all. So much of what we think we know is based on virtually no surviving evidence at all and what tiny amount we have found has been subjected to countless often conflicting theories as a consequence of this lack of actual evidence. What seems likely is the existence of many past civilizations, some or most of which could have been vastly superior to what we have now. Who knows? We can't possibly know and are very likely ever to know mainly because of the potentially vast time frames involved. A whole civilization can come, flourish, and be all but eradicated within just 20,000, especially if it constructed virtually all of its buildings from wood or some form of concrete. However, it is perfectly possible that mankind as we know it has been here for many millions of years possibly many thousands of millions of years. Apparently, mankind as we know it, arrived 250,000 years ago, which is long enough already. However, we could have been around during the time when dinosaurs roamed which is around 200,000,000 years ago. Divide 200,000,000 by 20,000 and we get potentially 10,000 entire civilizations that could have come, flourished, and all but vanished by now. Just saying.
