I instead highly recommend people to go to some of the other ones (its like hundrets others around mx and guatemala) where its still allowed to climb on the pyramids; like Monte Alban, Ek Balam or Tikal,…. – have the real maya/native experience by looking for many tens of kilometres over the whole jungle/area & dond support stupid rules by hardliners and a system of control! To the angry mob I can only say rethink your actions by blindly following rules some institution gives you and using violence to defent it, this is exactly the behaviour people in power will keep them there and u down in slavery!
